The Garut College of Technology designed an educational curriculum and training for ICT Volunteers as a follow-up to the determination of the Garut College of Technology as the Pusdiklatnas (National Education and Training Center) for Indonesian ICT Volunteers on 23 December 2018 by Fajar Eri Dianto - Chairperson of Indonesian ICT Volunteers. In his status on Facebook, he mentioned the debriefing activities of Garut Technology College students who would participate in the Community Service ICT Volunteer program as the first batch of Pusdiklatnas activities which was the realization of the dream of Indonesian ICT Volunteers since 2012.

Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Garut merancang kurikulum pendidikan dan pelatihan Relawan TIK sebagai tindak lanjut penetapan Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Garut sebagai Pusdiklatnas (Pusat Pendidikan dan Pelatihan Nasional) Relawan TIK Indonesia pada tanggal 23 Desember 2018 oleh Fajar Eri Dianto - Ketua Umum Relawan TIK Indonesia. Dalam statusnya di Facebook, beliau menyebut kegiatan pembekalan mahasiswa Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Garut yang akan turun dalam program Relawan TIK Abdi Masyarakat sebagai kegiatan Pusdiklatnas gelombang pertama yang merupakan realisasi mimpi Relawan TIK Indonesia sejak tahun 2012. 

This debriefing activity is part of the learning process for the ICT Volunteer course. In these activities, instructors from the Indonesian ICT Volunteers and lecturers at the Garut College of Technology delivered digital literacy material in education, government, and entrepreneurship.

Kegiatan pembekalan tersebut merupakan bagian dari proses pembelajaran mata kuliah Relawan TIK. Di dalam kegiatan tersebut, instruktur dari pengurus Relawan TIK Indonesia dan dosen Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Garut menyampaikan materi literasi digital kategori pendidikan, pemerintahan, dan kewirausahaan.

The general chairman of Indonesian ICT Volunteers assigned Rinda Cahyana, a lecturer at the Garut College of Technology who at that time served as the head of the human resource development sector for the Indonesian ICT Volunteer Center, to formulate KomTIK (Competency for ICT Volunteers). In 2021, the Garut College of Technology announced a draft of the curriculum. Rinda Cahyana as the instructor of the ICT Volunteer course, conducted a trial of its application in the Garut area with participants from the Pandupreneurs in the odd semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. In this application, the material is divided into 4 briefly, including an introduction to RTIKAbdimas, a review of the concept of ICT Volunteers, a review of the practice of ICT Volunteers, the practice methods of ICT Volunteers. The activity which was opened by the Head of the Department of Communication and Information, Garut district was concluded with a field assignment, in which the participants in the team practiced the method.

Ketua umum Relawan TIK Indonesia menugaskan kepada Rinda Cahyana, dosen Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Garut yang saat itu menjabat sebagai ketua bidang pengembangan sumber daya manusia pengurus pusat Relawan TIK Indonesia, untuk merumuskan KomTIK (Kompetensi Relawan TIK). Pada tahun 2021, Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Garut mengumumkan draft kurikulum tersebut. Rinda Cahyana selaku pengampu mata kuliah Relawan TIK melakukan uji coba penerapannya di lokal Garut dengan peserta dari kalangan Pandupreneur pada semester ganjil tahun akademik 2020/2021. Dalam uji coba lokal, materinya diringkas menjadi 4, meliputi materi pengantar, tinjauan konsep Relawan TIK, tinjauan praktik Relawan TIK, metode praktik Relawan TIK. Kegiatan yang dibuka oleh Kepala Diskominfo kabupaten Garut tersebut dipungkas dengan tugas lapangan, di mana peserta dalam tim mempraktikan metode tersebut. 

In the even semester, the Garut College of Technology conducted a trial of its application at the national level by involving the ICT Volunteer coordinator from the regional Indonesian ICT Volunteers and universities. Although the draft curriculum is available for ICT Volunteer members and administrators, the Garut College of Technology limits it only to members or prospective members of ICT Volunteers.

Pada semester genap, Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Garut melaksanakan uji coba penerapannya pada tingkat nasional dengan melibatkan koordinator Relawan TIK yang berasal dari pengurus Relawan TIK Indonesia daerah dan perguruan tinggi. Sekalipun draft kurikulum tersedia untuk peserta anggota dan pengurus Relawan TIK, tetapi Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Garut membatasinya hanya untuk anggota atau calon anggota Relawan TIK saja. 

The education curriculum and training for members of the ICT Volunteer is one of the completeness of debriefing activities which are the most crucial part of the Community Servant ICT Volunteer program stages. The curriculum shapes the participants to become volunteer character servants with the ability to eradicate the digital divide. The curriculum includes the following five groups:

1. General Obligation provides a foundation for understanding volunteering and motivation to become a volunteer human being that benefits others;
2. Organizational Characteristics, providing local identities to strengthen the identity of Indonesian ICT Volunteers;
3. General basis provides an understanding of the urgency of the ICT Volunteer organization as a collaboration medium so that they want to join forces to build a broad and sustainable information society together;
4. General and Main, providing ICT Volunteer core competencies in the form of digital literacy competencies and general methods to apply these competencies in the community;
5. Elective and Excellence, providing additional capacity for ICT Volunteers to apply their competencies to specific partner clusters and in line with national or international recognized competency standards.

Kurikulum pendidikan dan pelatihan anggota Relawan TIK merupakan salah satu kelengkapan kegiatan pembekalan yang merupakan bagian terpenting dari dalam tahapan program Relawan TIK Abdi Masyarakat. Kurikulum membentuk peserta menjadi pengabdi berkarakter relawan dengan kemampuan mengentaskan kesenjangan digital. Kurikulum meliputi lima kelompok sebagai berikut:

1. Wajib Umum, memberikan fondasi pemahaman kerelawanan dan motivasi menjadi insan relawan yang bermanfaat bagi sesama;
2. Penciri Organisasi, memberikan penciri lokal untuk memperkuat identitas Relawan TIK Indonesia;
3. Dasar Umum, memberikan pemahaman akan urgensi organisasi Relawan TIK sebagai medium kolaborasi, sehingga mau menyatukan kekuatan untuk membangun masyarakat informasi yang luas dan berkelanjutan secara bersama-sama;
4. Umum dan Utama, memberikan kompetensi inti Relawan TIK berupa kompetensi literasi digital dan metode umum untuk menerapkan kompetensi tersebut di tengah masyarakat;
5. Pilihan dan Unggulan, memberikan tambahan kapasitas Relawan TIK agar dapat menerapkan kompetensinya pada kluster mitra spesifik dan selaras dengan standar kompetensi yang diakui nasional atau internasional.
